A Recap of The Atlanta Dream's "Power HER Dream" Basketball Camp presented by Microsoft

The Atlanta Dream partnered with Microsoft to host a FREE 2-day girls basketball clinic for local youth at Saint Francis and Landmark Christian School from July 26th -July 27th. Throughout the camp, coaches and players of the ATL Dream offered tips and hands-on instruction, including lectures, fundamental basketball skills stations, contests, and non-contact games in a high-energy, fun, and positive environment.

Using a unique curriculum and learning environment, youth basketball players jumped into stem by connecting science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to basketball and sports. The one-of-a-kind camp exposes, motivates, and inspires girls ages 6-14 to consider future education or careers in STEM fields outside of being a professional athlete. All campers received cool Atlanta Dream swag including, a commemorative t-shirt, bag, and team photo. They also had surprise appearances and autograph signings from professional ATL Dream players and coaches.

The Dream's partnership with Microsoft will become a model that defines how pro teams work with corporate partners beyond traditional assets with a sharper focus on impacting and improving the lives of young women in Atlanta.
